Trading Terms


A minimum $20.00 order value (excluding freight/handling charge) is requested when buying through this site. All prices include the GST payable on these goods, except where stated otherwise.

We are presently only able to accept payment by cheque, money order (made out to Austral Candles) or electronic transfer.

There is a single statewide freight and handling charge per order. This means, effectively, the more you buy the cheaper it becomes. It's not so much an inducement to spend as our way of saying thanks for the extra business. This charge applies to destinations covered by the Australia Post delivery network. "Overseas" rates will be quoted on application.

Normally the candles will be dispatched within three working days of being ordered but the actual time before they are received will vary according to the destination. With the personalised candles we would appreciate being given as much notice as possible.

Any transit damage claims involving Australia Post have to be processed by you, the recipient - it's their rule, not ours.

We will not pass on any information given to us to any other people or companies.

We will rectify any mistakes we make at our expense.

When we are working with photographic images for the personalised candles it is understood that the customer has given their approval for us to use that image and, if appropriate, the subjects themselves agree to that image being used. Photographs will be returned with the order. If you're sending us any photographs separately please ensure there's sufficient information given so that we can identify which order they relate to. Images can also be sent as an email attachment in the JPEG format, scanned at 250 DPI, but please crop them to about 1.5 times the subject area to minimise the file size.
